Located in the border area between Switzerland and Italy, Monte Rosa is a glaciated massif from the Alps that has several peaks above 4000 meters in altitude. The Breithorn is one of them and also a popular mountain group to enjoy different winter activities.
As for the first day of this adventure we will ascend the western summit of Breithorn. With 4,165 meters above sea level, this is the highest point in the mountain group.
On day 2, we’ll have the chance to have some great splitboarding time down the Porta Nera Glacier, a col from the north side of the Breithorn. We may even have the possibility to visit Zermatt, a little village and an important ski resort situated in Switzerland.
Our accommodation for this trip will be the Rifugio Guide del Cervino (3,480 m). The hut is located at Plateau Rosa, a glacier from the Swiss region of Valais.
Participants must have prior splitboarding or skiing experience. You also should have a good physical condition.
Ready to go splitboarding in Breithorn and Porta Nera? Do not hesitate and send your request now. It would be a pleasure to safely guide you on this tour.
If you are interested in more splitboarding in this area, I also offer a 5-day tour in Gran Paradiso. Check it out!

Mountain Guide
I am a young Italian UIAGM - UVGAM guide and I live the mountain in all its aspects.
I love being in the mountains during every period of the year and I think each season is special and give us the possibility to discover a different side of the mountain: freeride skiing and ice climbing in winter, ski touring and ice/mixed routes in spring, rock climbing and trekking/alpinism in summer and autumn. Each experience lived in the mountain is unique and for me it is a real pleasure to help and assist people living something that sometimes is almost like a dream.
I speak fluently Italian, English, French and Spanish.
I live in Valtournenche, in the Matterhorn valley, and work with a well consolidated group of UIAGM mountain guides, so we can provide the professional support needed even in case of big groups of people: by contacting me you will always find a solution for your trip in the mountains!
