Description

San Carlos de Bariloche, in Argentina is a popular destination for skiing holidays. This trip is your chance to discover the Baguales Lodge and enjoy two days of awesome ski touring!

Baguales is a mountain lodge located southeast of Bariloche, between the rivers Villegas and Foye. Due to its location and altitude, it offers perfect snow conditions and attracts tourists from all over the world.

For this 2-day ski touring trip we will meet in Bariloche. After driving to Baguales Lodge, the adventure starts. The area is very close to different hills, such as the Villegas, with several options of ascent and descent; and the Ciruela, with its particular rock formations. There are also skiing options in large lenga forests!

The Lodge has several huts that we can connect depending on the route we choose. Please note that you need intermediate skiing skills and a good fitness level. For more information, take a look at the itinerary below.

Mountain Guide

IFMGA/UIAGM guide from Argentina.

I’m trekking guide since 2009, and became fully IFMGA certified in 2014.
I’ve climbed in many destinations in the Andes in Argentina, and also in Perú, Brasil, France, Spain, Italy and Austria.

I work together with two other colleagues and friends, Indio and Tomás, who are also IFMGA. So if I’m not available to guide you, one of them can do it.

The three of us live in El Chalten, where we practice our profession and develop our passion for climbing and skiing. And we want to share it by opening the doors to all those who want to live their Patagonian experience in a safe and unforgettable way.

We are also committed to mountain training. Therefore, we can give you the basic tools to move in the mountain safely and smoothly. That's why we offer courses for all levels depending on the terrain you want to train. We give lessons of rock climbing, ice climbing, glacier transit and mountain skiing.
