Description

I invite you to join me in an imposing, 2-day high alpine ski tour over the Lötschenlücke, a high mountain pass (3164m) of the Bernese Alps, with both sides covered by glaciers.

The Jungfrau, along with the Eiger and the Mönch mountains, forms a huge wall that overlooks one of the most emblematic panoramas of the Swiss Alps.

The itinerary will be Grindelwald-Jungfraujoch-Hollandiahütte-Lötschental. We will start skiing from the Jungfraujoch pass, part of a massive wall that overlooks the Bernese Oberland and the Swiss Plateau, an iconic sight of the Swiss Alps.

If weather conditions allow, we will climb to the summit of Äbeni Flue, at 3962m. Then you will feel at the top of Europe. If the weather is against us in this adventure, don’t worry! There are many other options to choose from.

We will spend the only night in Hollandia mountain hut, which clings like an eagle’s nest on the rocks, surrounded by impressive glaciers and peaks. The panoramic view from there is simply indescribable.

Of course, this tour requires for you to be in good physical condition and to have ski touring experience.

So, if you are ready to climb and ski at the Lötschenlücke, please contact me! I will be delighted to be your guide.

What people are saying about ES Adventure Guides

Peter

This was a great trip and Explore Share made finding the right trip super easy. Our guide was personable, extremely knowledgeable, and experienced and willing to teach us the skills we would have needed to climb the Matterhorn. Unfortunatly, the conditions were not right to climb so our guide recemmended another trip which was still a great experience and lots of fun.

Emma

Very user friendly platform with timely responses from Explore Share representatives. The trip itself with Tom from Alps Adventures was awesome and ensure that we had an experience that was 100% what we wanted. Recommend both the platform and the guide. Thanks to all for arranging and delivering so well.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
