Conquer the summit of Mont Blanc in 2 days, climbing via the Italian Gonella route, one of the the most accessible and safest ways to the top of the most famous mountain in the Alps.
We will meet in Chamonix or Courmayeur on the first day. During this 2-day ascent, you will discover the wilderness of the Italian side of Mont Blanc. After entering Val Veny we start trekking the Bionnassay glacier. Approximately 6 hours of hiking through the glacier will take us to the Gonella hut where we will stay overnight.
On the second day, we will continue climbing the Gonella glacier to the Pitons des Italiens, the Dome de Gouter, until we reach the Mont Blanc summit (4810m). Once at the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views over the surrounding mountains. Then we will go down the French slope to the Mont Blanc train and then to Chamonix.
Although the Mont Blanc crossing does not require and advanced technique, it is important to have a good fitness level to walk long distances, specially for trekkers who want to venture themselves into mountaineering.
If you want to reach the summit of Mont Blanc via the Gonella route, donât hesitate to contact me. Book your trip and let me guide on this great ascent.Â
I also guide a 2-day Mont Blanc ascent via the Gouter route and a 3-day Mont Blanc ascent with acclimatization.
