Description

Join me on this 2-day course and enjoy the best rock climbing in Chamonix.

Take advantage of the chance to climb two of the area’s greatest classics: the Pilier des Rhodo-Dindons and the Contamine route!

An excellent physical condition is a must to take this course, as well as a minimum technical level between 6a and 6b. I can take a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2 people on this course. This is primarily for safety reasons but also to make sure you take advantage of the learning experience this course provides.

This 2-day course starts on Saturdays during the months of June, July, August and September. We will meet the day before to make sure our bags contain all the necessary equipment.

On Saturday, we will meet at 8 am to take the train up to the Mer de Glace. On the way up to the Couvercle hut, we will have our first contact with the Chamonix granite on this Dalles de l’Envers route. We will then spend the night in the hut.

On Sunday, we will have breakfast in the hut. The 400-meter Contamine route, just 30 minutes away from the hut, will offer a great chance to test your technical skills. Opened in 1954 by mountaineers André Contamine and Pierre Labrunie, this route is one of the area’s greatest classics.

Rock climbing in Chamonix is world famous, with climbers travelling from all over the world to experience it. Located in the Haute-Savoie department, Chamonix is also one of the oldest and most renowned ski resorts in France.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to experience for yourself everything this region has to offer! Contact me if you have any questions regarding dates or other specifics. These 2 days rock climbing in Chamonix will be an experience you won’t easily forget!
