The mountain massif of Monte Rosa, part of the eastern Pennine Alps, is the second highest in the Alps and western Europe.
Join me as we ascend 4,554 meters above sea level to the Margherita Hut, the highest mountain refuge in Europe. It clings to the peak of Punta Gnifetti, 1 of 4 peaks on Monte Rosa.
Our ascent is via the classic alpine route on glistening glaciers and blankets of snow.
Due to the relative ease of difficulty this 2-day guided ascent is open to those with less experience of mountaineering.
Reserve your place now to conquer 1 of 4 peaks of Monte Rosa, western Europe’s second highest. And ascend the peak to Europe’s highest mountain refuge.
After meeting we depart for the Valle d’Aosta. Then we ascend to the Gnifetti refuge, first with lifts and then on a glacier.
Today we wake up early and climb to the hut.

It was my first climbing experience and it couldn’t have been better. My guide Franco chose a climbing spot that allowed for varying degrees of difficulty, took his time to explain safety, all the different tools, show me basic techniques, and guided me through the pitches to help improve my skills over the day. We were able to do several pitches of varying difficulty to explore and push my limits and get comfortable with the elevation. Thank you! I highly recommend him.

Great service from Explore Share arranging a world class guide (Franco) to take our family of 6 on the via Ferrata expedition. Highly recommend!
Great experience overall - we went to the Apuan alps where we were able to climb multiple routes with a fantastic view all with our guide Franco - very fun and memorable experience and would definitely recommend
Really great climbing experience near Cinque Terre. The location was beautiful and our guide was fantastic. 1/2 of our group was experienced and 1/2 was not. Our guide made sure to find an area to accommodate everyone's abilities. Would highly recommend this experience!
