Description

Newton Clark Glacier is located on the southeast side of Mount Hood. This glacier belongs to the Mount Hood Wilderness, a natural protected area in Oregon. Our trip will take place in Cooper Spur, a mountain resort situated on the north side of the glacier.

We’ll start our trip at the Timberline Lodge, a mountain lodge located on the south side of the mountain. During the first day, we’ll take a chairlift to ascend and start our glacier travel through the White River Glacier. Then, we’ll continue the travel across Newton-Clark Glacier and reach our camp at Cooper Spur. From there, we’ll be able to contemplate amazing views of Mount Adams and Mount Saint Helens. On day 2, we’ll enjoy our climb in Cooper Spur and then descend across the south side of the mountain.

If you want to take this trip, you should consider that this climb is long and challenging. It is therefore important to have a very good fitness level and prior climbing experience. You will face a steep climb!

So send your request to book this guided tour and start planning a wonderful adventure on the Newton Clark Glacier.

Peggy

Will was great wise and fun to spend the day with.

Phillip

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Lucie

All perfect

Amanda

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
