Join me on the Commando Run in the Colorado Rockies in what is a Vail Valley classic.

Reach and explore the Rocky backcountry that is home to unbelievable scenery and quality runs.

We will depart from the Shrine Mountain Inn, with comfortable access yet offers sublime backcountry views.

From there we will navigate the beautiful terrain that is sandwiched between Vail Pass and Vail Mountain.

Named the Commando Run, the name originates from the soldiers of the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division. They once trained among the challenging and demanding terrain in order to practice skiing combat in high altitude during the Second World War.
