Highlights

  • Spend 2 days in Andorra during this level 2 avalanche rescue course.
  • Spend time in the classroom, as well as the mountains.
  • Learn about avalanche prevention and other important items.

Description

There is a lot to learn about avalanche safety. As a result, after completing the level 1 version of this course, level 2 is the next logical step.

This level 2 course will focus on teaching you how to minimize risk and better manage your mountaineering excursions. As was the case with the level 1 course, the level 2 course will take place in Andorra.

Much will be covered during this course. We will teach you how to prepare an itinerary, how to prepare an exit, how to properly observe your surroundings, how to properly interpret what you’ve observed and more.

Unlike level 1, the level 2 course takes place over 2 days. The first day will be spent predominantly in the classroom. Theory will be the primary focus. However, the second day will take place in the mountains. Thus giving you the chance to put what you’ve learned into immediate practice.

Participants do not require a great deal of mountaineering experience to participate on this 2 day course. However, because we will be in the mountains on the second day, you should be in good physical condition.

While level 1 of this course focused on what to do in the case of an avalanche or other unforeseen circumstance, level 2 focuses more on prevention, which I believe is just as important. To further your education on avalanche safety, send me a request, and enjoy this 2-day course in Andorra.

If you haven’t already taken the level 1 course, you can do so here.
