Looking for some days far from the crowds only connected to nature and snow? So you should keep reading our proposal around the Rock Creek Hut area.
The Rock Creek Hut is a fantastic mountain lodge situated 30 minutes away from Mammoth Mountain in Eastern Sierra Nevada. As it is the highest hut in California (3,108 m), the views are breathtaking and the snowboarding options, endless. This refuge can host no more than six people but guarantees privacy and a cozy atmosphere.
It is a 2 or 3 day program that can be adapted to your wishes, technical level and preferences. Generally, we need to cross around 5 miles (8 km) with splitboards to finally reach the best terrain for snowboarding.
Some of the optional routes you can choose are: East Gullies of Mt. Starr, “The Shoulder”, Mt. Dade, Mt. Abbott or Treasure Peak. And if weather allows we can also go to Cat Ears Couloir, the Hourglass Couloir, and the Northeast Couloir.
To join this program you should be an intermediate-to-advanced splitboarder/snowboarder. A good fitness condition is also mandatory.
Fall in love with the Rock Creek Hut and California’s mountains under the guiding of local professionals. Book your trip now!
