With cable cars dropping you at 4,000m and unlimited options to ski on 1,500m long slopes, this is a fantastic program for those who live for powder.

Powder skiing is an excellent activity for India, since it has an unbeatable climate. Thanks to the influence on the Himalaya mountain range, the area of Gulmarg gets up to 15 m of snow per year! This has some major benefits: wide open slopes, superb trees, and deep, very deep powder.

This 10-day program includes 6 full skiing days. I will guide you on different locations and activities, including some amazing tree skiing, on magnificent mountains and the beautiful lake Dal. These are just some of the great memories you will take from this tour.

• • Transferring by private jeep from Srinagar to Gulmarg

  • Guiding off-piste skiing in the extensive backcountry, covering 4 different ski fields

  • Uninterrupted descents of almost 2,000 vertical meters of fresh powder each day, with a gondola rising to almost 4000m

  • Spending a night in one of the famous house boats on Lake DalGet ready to go on one of the most amazing off-piste adventures in the world, with the uniqueness of curry powder skiing – only available in India.This program includes staying at the Hotel Highlands Park, included in the price.   Apart from your basic skiing gear, I recommend you bring skis with ski-touring bindings and skins which fit your skis, as your guide may decide to do a short climb to get the best skiing on untouched slopes. I also strongly recommend the use of an avalanche airbag backpack.
