It’s also on the top lists of climbers all around the world, for its enchanting surroundings. It lies in the charming and calm town of Bernal. This mining mexican town holds proudly its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover its enchanting streets, try its local delicacies and allow this lovely place to dazzle you.
What’s more, Peña de Bernal’s incomparable beauty guards many legends and mysteries. It’s known as one of the most energetic places on Earth. So, the third largest monolith in the world, a 2,510 meters high and then million years old majestic rock, is the perfect location for this trip.
Our rock climbing adventure will take us to the summit of Peña de Bernal. The ascent will not be too complicated. Yet, there will be areas that will challenge our skills.
And once we summit, breathtaking views of a semi-desert, along with the Sierra Gorda and parts of Queretaro, await for us. Then, to descend, we’ll tackle a 60 meter corner of this marvelous monolith rappelling. Finally, our reward will be an exquisite gordita, a traditional snack, paired with a cold beer.
