1+ day Rock climbing in Buenos Aires Province

Have you ever heard about the stunning rock climbing areas of Buenos Aires Province? Let’s go to Mar del Plata, Blacarce or Tandil for an awesome outdoor experience!

Buenos Aires is the biggest and most populous province of Argentina. Part of the geographical region “Pampa”, its landscape is predominantly flat. However, some of its low mountain ranges are perfect for rock climbing.

On this trip, you can join me for one or several days and discover some exciting crags in Buenos Aires. I highly recommend this experience for people who want to learn the basics of rock climbing or improve their skills. We will work on knots and techniques of progression in both sport and classic climbing!

In Mar del Plata, the biggest and most important city of the Argentinean Atlantic Coast, our spot is Sierra de los Difuntos. Here we will find about 50 routes of all levels, mainly for sport climbing.

Balcarce, 51 km west of Mar del Plata, offers exciting climbing possibilities at La Barrosa and La Vigilancia, two low mountain ranges with short but really fun routes.

Near the city of Tandil, finally, we can discover the oldest rocks in Argentina. In Aurora and El Centinela, for example, there are routes for all levels.

Keep in mind that if you want to stay for a few days, we can camp or stay in a cabin close to the climbing area!
