I invite you to one or more days of first-class snowboarding in the beautiful resort of Shiga Kogen, in the island of Honshu. During this private program you will get the unique opportunity to ride with a pro athlete.
I am a professional snowboarder, ranking second in the Freeride World Qualifier competition. When I am not competing, I take great pleasure in riding with snowboard enthusiasts in my favourite spots. And Shiga Kogen is definitely one of them!
Located in Nagano, Japan, the Shiga Kogen ski resort is home to the largest ski area in the country. It became renown around the world with the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, but it has kept its original Japanese identity during the past two decades. The atmosphere is laid back, the slopes are ample and the landscapes are breathtaking.
There are 19 ski areas in Shiga Kogen, which add up to 600 hectares of terrain. So you can imagine that in such a large terrain the slopes are varied and there are options for all levels. When conditions are good, the dry powder characteristic of its inland location is amazing for riding.
I am not a certified guide, so we will stay within the limits of the ski resort. But the potential there is huge so you don’t need to worry! There is plenty to explore. Just let me know how many days you want to come and I will plan a session according to the conditions and your level.
Keep in mind that you need to have at least an intermediate snowboarding level. The focus of this proposal is to have fun, learning some tips and seeing how a pro rides. I will show you around the resort and lead you to my favourite places, some of which you wouldn’t otherwise find.
Please request to book this program if you are interested, and let’s meet in Shiga Kogen to have a wonderful time! You are also welcome to join a group, check out the option here.

Amazing experience with Myoko local. Go is knowledgable and passionate about the mountain and surrounding area, as well as being a very talented snowboarder.

First time snowboarding at a new mountain can be a little intimidating now multiply that feeling when you are doing it in a different country. That was not the case here, Go Biyajima made me feel like I was riding in my back yard. Go is an excellent rider and really made me feel like it was just another day on the mountain riding with homies. I hope this service gets to reach more people and they would be lucky to select Go Biyajima!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
