Hit the slopes of Hakuba and shred with THE top male FWQ snowboarder in Japan! Spend a day or more riding in the northern Japanese Alps and experience some of the best powder in the world!
Japan is chock-full of incredible skiing and snowboarding destinations, thanks in part to its marvelous mountains and unequaled snow quality. The atmosphere, moisture, and precipitation have contributed to a high snow fall of light, dry powder, which is the ideal composition for a life-changing snowboarding adventure. Nowhere is this more prevalent than in Hakuba and the Japanese Alps.
This is where you come in! I am ranked as the number one male Freeride World Qualifying snowboarder in Japan, number 46 in the whole world, and I’d love to ride in one of my favorite locations with a partner – or three – in crime. Sticking on-piste in the boundaries of the immaculate resorts of Hakuba, we can examine every inch of snow go over lines like pros.
Hakuba is the perfect place for a program like this. You will love the tall mountains over 3,000 meters that surround the valley. The terrain is pristine and covers deep alpine bowls, steep ridges, tree-lined runs, and so much more. The snowpack is generous and world-class, so you will never have to worry about riding in slush or less-than-desirable conditions. And the legends are true: the snow is arguably the best on Earth!

You will need to sign a liability waiver prior to the beginning of this program. I am not a certified mountain guide, so please keep in mind that, for safety reasons, we will stay within ski resort boundaries at all times.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much.
