Description

Calling all potential canyoneers for a 1-day canyoneering adventure in Moab, Utah! This is a great adventure for those of who are new to canyoneering, and families, alike!

The Moab Canyon, located in Southeast Utah, is home to some beautiful, red canyons, which you are welcome to come explore on this day-long canyoneering trip! We offer 3 route options depending on your preference and each take place over the course of about 4 hours. More still, the canyon is located in what is considered “high desert” meaning that it undergoes an array of different climates within one day, so please be sure to dress in layers!

We begin our trip learning the “ropes” of canyoneering by getting a prep course on our gear and the canyon area. From there, we will prepare ourselves for a variety of activities that are common on canyoneering expeditions, such as: walking, wading, rappelling, swimming and climbing within the Canyon**.** From there, we are able to set off in the canyon to prepare to rappel 80 feet into a large ampitheater within the expanse of the red canyon rocks. There is also an option to do a second, free-hanging from a 100 foot rappel that will take you back to the main trail. This loop is roughly 5 miles long.

This trip is intended for those new to canyoneering and available to anyone 10 and up, making for a great family activity! Because of the erratic weather, we ask that your physical fitness is high and that you pack a lunch.

So if you have always wanted to canyoneer through Utah, particularly as a family, this is the trip for you!
