1-day Multi-Pitch Rock Climbing Japan, near Niigata

On this full day trip, I would like to take you rock climbing on Mount Liji, near the Japanese coastal city of Niigata.

While not a famous peak, mount Liji nonetheless offers some great rock climbing opportunities. And on this trip, which will involve a 7 pitch, slab route, you will get to not only challenge yourself, but also enjoy some truly fantastic views of the Niigata area.

Our adventure will begin at the Echigo-Yuzawa station on the JR Niigata Shinkansen at 9:00 am. If you have not ridden on the Shinkansen bullet train, you are definitely in for a treat. Once you arrive, we will then make our way to Mount Liji.

Along with enjoying the magnificent views, which will only get better the higher up you go, time will also be taken to help you improve you climbing skills. And because the multi-pitch route we will be taking is not very difficult, it will provide plenty of opportunity for improvement. I will do my best to assist you in any way possible to make your climbing experience fun, safe and informative.
