1-day mountaineering tour in the Mercantour

Join me on this mountaineering tour in Mercantour National Park and enjoy the beauty of this unique high mountain environment.

With its back to the Mediterranean Sea, the Mercantour National Park is an experience in itself. Take a deep breath and take in all of the area’s natural beauty while you push your body to take one more step up!

I regard mountaineering as the most complete discipline, as it includes several different activities (hiking, rock climbing, ice climbing, etc.). Here in the Mercantour, you’ll see no glaciers or crevices, but the environment is that of the high mountain. With the Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop and the Alps opening up before you, it will be an unforgettable sight!

For this mountaineering tour, I propose several 1-day tour options you can choose from. You can climb La Cougourde (2921 meters), a big Mercantour classic, or opt to hike to the top of Corno Stella by the Cessole route (3050 meters). Another option is to go for the Mont Ponset summit (2828 meters), where you’ll enjoy stunning 360° views from the top!
