In the heart of the Rockies, there is a fantastic place that offers hypnotizing views and one of the best via ferratas in Canada, Mount Stelfox. This magnificent peak right above the dazzling turquoise Lake Abraham, is a true climbing paradise near Banff. Join this 1-day via ferrata adventure, and follow one of our certified guides on this unforgettable trip.
Mt. Stelfox offers a unique experience, due to its longer, and at parts steeper route. But it is also a more peaceful and quiet one. As it is one of Canada‘s best guarded secrets. This uncrowded via ferrata, will allow you to feel like there no one else around, but you and the mountain. Also, it will let you enjoy the breathtaking views that you’ll get as you reach higher spots.
Moreover, Mount Stelfox has an excellent location, between the town of Nordegg and Highway 93. Thus, it is very easy to access. The via ferrata route we propose is around 180 meters of height. Then, it takes about 1.5 hours to complete. And finally, upon completion, it takes 30 to 40 minutes to hike down the trail.
