Description

For anybody who enjoys thrilling ice climbing, the Austrian Alps are definitely a must visit. The possible climbing options, the peaks and the views are absolutely breathtaking. And on this trip, which can last one or more days, I would like to take you climbing at Felbertauern.

Felbertauern has some challenging ice falls. As a result, this trip is for people with a lot of past ice climbing experience. You should also be in good physical condition, as the climbing can be arduous.

Since this trip is tailored for expert climbers, it is not so much about teaching and guiding, as much as it is about taking you to the right spots for your advanced skill set. However, I will also gladly provide you with tips and advice whenever you request it. I believe this is important because no matter how experienced an ice climber you are, there is always the push to get better, so you can take on that bigger, more difficult ice fall in the future.

Another great aspect of this trip is that Felbertauern is close to Salzburg. As a result, it would make a great addition to any trip you may be taking to the beautiful city that Mozart made so famous.

Ice climbing in the Alps of Austria is a great experience. And on this trip at Felbertauern, you will get to enjoy one of the more difficult options. So if you think you’re up to the challenge, just send me a request. I look forward to hearing from you.

I can also take you ice climbing at Eispark Osttirol, which is the largest ice crag in all of Austria.

Mathias was excellent. He brought us to good snow even in a low snow week. He was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. Next time we bring skins!

Sean

My guide ended up being a local snowboard guide named Peter. It was excellent. Lovely guy, we got to ride some powder as well as practice searching with the avalanche rescue equipment. All round good day. Would highly recommend
