1-day hike in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Slovenia

Situated on Slovenia’s northern border with Austria, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps are one of the top places in the entire mountain range for a hiking adventure!

Widely considered to have the most beautiful alpine valleys in the range, Kamnik-Savinja is full of spectacular scenery, stunning mountain passes and plenty of opportunities for an on-foot adventure.

The action begins shortly after we meet up at a pre-determined location and transfer to either the Logaskar Valley or Jezersko.

From here, there are a plethora of different day trips from which we may choose, ranging in length and difficulty:

• Grintavec (2,558 m), the highest peak of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps; Duration: 8 to 9 hours; Altitude difference: 1,658 m

• Ferrata Czech hut; Duration: 2 to 3 hours; Altitude difference: 542 m

• Storžič (2,132 m); Duration: 7 to 9 hours; Altitude difference: 1,009 m
  Ravenska Kočna to Velika Baba (2,127 m); Duration: 8 to 9 hours; Altitude difference: 1,127 m

• Logar Valley to Klemenča jama cave, Strelovec and Robanov kot; Duration: 5 to 6 hours; Altitude difference: 1,080 m

• Podolševa to Potočka zijalka, Olševa and back to Podolševa; Duration: 4 to 5 hours; Altitude difference: 700

• Logar Valley to Kroficka (2,083 m); Duration: 5 to 6 hours; Altitude difference: 1,246 m

• Logar Valley to Ojstrica (2,350 m). Duration: 8 to 9 hours; Altitude difference: 1,525 m
