If you are looking for an easy ascent to a gorgeous mountain, this program to Veleta Peak is perfect for you!
Situated at 3,395 meters above sea level, Veleta Peak is the fourth tallest mountain in Spain and the second in Sierra Nevada. Located in the Granada province of Andalusia, it is a classic summit in the area and a great place for mountaineers.
Our itinerary will begin in Hoya de la Mora, a high mountain pass at 2,500 meters of altitude. We’ll keep hiking until we reach the summit. Once at the top, we’ll be able to contemplate stunning views of the sea and the surrounding peaks.
Although it is a 3,000-meter peak, it is not a difficult ascent in the summer. Acclimatization will be the hardest aspect, and I’ll be there to help you with everything that you need. We will cover around 14 kilometers and we’ll face an elevation gain of 900 meters.
So, would you like to take part in this trip? Then all you have to do is send the request and book your place. I’ll be glad to guide you on this ascent.
Are you interested in learning about mountaineering? Then take a look at this course that I lead in Sierra Nevada.
