1-day Fundamentals of Backcountry Skiing in Bolton, Vermont

For a full day, one of our professional, experienced guides would like to teach you the fundamentals of back country skiing. Furthermore, we would like to teach you those fundamentals in the beautiful Bolton valley in Vermont.

The Bolton valley is a gorgeous area in Vermont. It is full of fantastic powder and thrilling descents. The scenery is also spectacular. So much so, that you shouldn’t be surprised if you catch yourself admiring the landscape for more than a few spare moments.

You will learn many skills during this full day adventure. Some of those skills involve the following.

• Proper track setting

• Skinning

• Descent selection

• Land navigation

As a result of learning these skills, and several more, you will become a stronger back country skier. Thus providing you with the tools necessary to avoid the crowds at resorts and ski on your own, in the wild!

In order to enjoy this full day trip, you should have prior resort skiing experience. This includes being able to ski on blue square runs in un-groomed conditions. You should also be comfortable skiing in trees, and be in good physical condition.
