The two trails of the Zandonella ferrata are among the most demanding in the Sesto Dolomites.
Although the two roads (south and southeast) have the same name, there are two distinct routes. They share exposed passages, steep walls and fascinating rock formations of the Croda Rossa.
The first 200 meters of the ferrata are quite exposed. You will find yourself among fantastic rock formations. Be aware, however, that the via ferrata is not always in good conditions and the path may be unstable, so it is reserved for experienced climbers.
The highlights of this trip include the fantastic scenery of the Vallon Popera, the steep mountain passages and the panorama from the summit.
The via ferrata climbs 1,400 meters and it takes almost 8 hours to complete it (4.45 hs. ascent; 3 hs. descent). It requires a good fitness level and a good head for heights.
So, if you are up for one of the most extreme experiences on a Via Ferrata, do no hesitate to contact me.

Mountain Guide
IFMGA/UIAGM Guide from Sesto, Italy
For almost 150 years mountain guides from Sesto/Sexten have been taking enthusiastic people on the mountains. Their long-time tradition has seen famous alpinists and legendary first ascents.
We, the new generation of the Alpinschule Sexten – Drei Zinnen, also turned our big passion into our job. The fascination of the mountains urges us all year round onto the local Dolomites and around the globe. With our professional support your time spent on the mountains doubtlessly turns into an unforgettable experience.
I work together with a group of alpine IFMGA guides: Christian, Daniel, Hannes, Joe, Robert, Helmut and Felix. If I'm not available for your request, one of them will guide you!
