1-day Crack climbing course in Yukawa, Japan

If you are rock climber traveling to Japan, here’s a trip just for you: join me on this 1-day crack climbing course in Yukawa!

Yukawa is located in the Nagano Prefecture, near the famous Yatsugatake mountains. On this trip, you will not only get to experience the beauty of the region, but also learn many techniques regarding crack climbing.

Normally, there is a lot of opportunity to practice face climbing in places like indoor gyms, but a lot of people tend to dislike for crack climbing because they never get to practice it. However, crack climbing is an essential part of basic climbing skills and the joy of climbing will increase greatly once you learn how to master this form of the sport!

On this trip we will make our way over ignimbrite and lava formed tuff in order to crack climb over these crags. We could even ascend as high as 4,178 feet.
