Description

Climb right out of the city center and onto the rocks of Cavaillon on a great guided via ferrata program near Avignon! This day trip into the heights of Vaucluse will give you incredible views of the surrounding mountains and landscape after an engaging day climbing in an iconic French location!

Within the stunning scenery of Southeastern France, Cavaillon sits just southwest of Avignon within the Luberon National Park. Boasting incomparable natural beauty and a wealth of history and culture, it has become well-known for its via ferrata, which is open throughout the year – weather permitting.

This is where you come in! Spend a day on a guided program scaling the Saint Jacques cliffs and looking out across the spectacular terrain. We will begin early in the day so you can spend as much time as possible on the route, enjoying the geology and ascents open to all. By spending a full day on the rocks, you can enjoy a via ferrata that encompasses multiple routes and obstacles for maximum exposure.

Access is everything here, and you can get onto the course right from downtown. The loops present you with a number of great territorial objectives, and you can expect to discover caves and grottos on your way to the summit. There are loops across different routes, including the Via Natura and Via Souterrata.

This route features monkey bridges, footbridges through the grotto, cave ladders, beams, and other classic via ferrata lines. My extensive experience as a guide will help take you on a fascinating course, adding tips and techniques to your satisfying climb. You will improve as a climber and have an absolute blast, ready to do it all over again once you come down from the top.

Mountain Guide

Even as a kid, I knew I wanted to become a mountain guide. Growing up in Aix-en-Provence, in southern France, the Alps have been my playground since a very young age. Amazing climbing spots like the Calanques and Gorges du Verdon were just a stone throw's away from my hometown.

Eventually, I also became an architect, another long-time passion. As an architect, I lived in New York, Barcelona and Rotterdam and learned to speak fluent English and Spanish. I also met great people and had an amazing time while doing it!

I'm now back home in France and spend most of my time guiding in the Alps. I'll be happy to take you rock climbing, skiing or mountaineering to some of my favorite spots.
