Description

Take a trip into the wild west and enjoy a day of backcountry skiing in the Tetons with a private guide! This program places you in the grandeur of the Tetons for a satisfying day of untracked backcountry alongside the iconic wilderness of Wyoming!

Rising straight out of Jackson Hole, the Teton Mountains have made a name for themselves as a rugged and beautiful off-shoot of the Rockies. Its collection of tall peaks range from  11, 482 feet (3,500 m) all the way up to Grand Teton at 13,775 feet (4,199 m). The stark vertical from the valley makes skiing the snow-covered crags a pure delight.

Your program is designed to give you a chance to carve your path through the immense backcountry surrounding the Tetons. Grand Teton National Park is loaded with eclectic runs, so we will never have to worry about repeating a line or retracing terrain. With the greater park or Teton Pass in our sights, we will head into the glorious landscape for six to eight hours of unforgettable ski touring.

Some common and popular objectives include Olive Oil, 25 Short, Shadow Peak, Wimpy’s Knob, and Maverick. All of these spots afford stunning views and long, steep descents, well worth the sustained climbs and uphill touring. You can expect over  125 feet (1,500 m) in vertical by the end of the day on some of the highest-quality snow in the United States.

This is one of our favorite places to ski, so we will ensure you have a fun, safe, and all-around fulfilling trip into this gorgeous natural wonderland. Our day will start at our offices with a gear check and brief safety refresher before heading into the mountains. Splitboarders are also welcome to join this program.

You should be an intermediate to advanced skier with backcountry or touring experience to match. A high fitness level is also required for an enjoyable experience in the Tetons. If you are a highly skilled skier with a flair for adventure, we can also take you on an advanced program for the ultimate Teton experience.

Book this phenomenal backcountry skiing trip in the Tetons NOW and find out why the mountains rising out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, are some of the most beautiful in the United States!

If you wanted to take an instructional approach to further your skiing career, join us on a three-day ski mountaineering course in these same Tetons!
