Description

Come along on the ski trip of a lifetime and make your way to Monarch Pass just outside of Gunnison! This guided backcountry skiing trip boasts world-class ski tours without the crowds and gives you a personalized experience in the Colorado Rockies of the United States!

Located a bit south of the well-known resorts in Aspen and Vail, Monarch Pass has made a name for itself as the rugged and accommodating haven for Colorado’s backcountry skiers. Ski touring programs here take advantage of the almost-nine-meter annual snowfall and can be reached easily from Denver. In some places, you can even access the backcountry directly from the road.

The snow quality in Colorado is some of the best in the country, thanks to its high altitude. Powder hounds have plenty of nooks and crannies to seek out the lightest and driest snow. Add the eclectic amalgamation of terrain, from open bowls to tree skiing, and you have the recipe for the perfect skiing extravaganza.

You are placed in the thick of the adventure, where I will show you Monarch Pass like a local. Reaching almost 3,500 meters high, the pass is situated between in the communities Salida and Gunnison and is a main thoroughfare to southwest Colorado. The runs are long, fulfilling the most ambitious skier’s need for prime skiing conditions.

I will ensure we have a blast, sharing my knowledge and expertise while guiding you along a perfect day of great skiing. If you want more time on the mountain, let me know and we can dedicate more time for a substantial trip in the region.

You should be comfortable skiing off-piste and prepared to ski in backcountry that may provide challenging obstacles. Experience is necessary to enjoy the program.

Book this amazing backcountry skiing trip in Monarch Pass NOW and spend a day or more cruising through one of the most fascinating areas in the Rockies and the state of Colorado!

There are plenty of hot spots just around the corner, so we can also try our hand at another backcountry skiing program in Crested Butte!

Will was great wise and fun to spend the day with.

Phillip

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Lucie

Amanda

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
