When it comes to mountaineering, safety is paramount. It is crucial to be properly trained in how to respond to unforeseen circumstances. As a result, I believe this full day, level 1 avalanche safety and rescue course will be highly beneficial for anybody who chooses to take it.
The course will take place in El Peterol, Andorra. You will be learning by doing during this course, as it takes place in the snow, in the mountains.
A lot will be covered during this course. As a result, the itinerary throughout the day will be detailed and extensive. Examples of what will be covered includes the following.
How to properly use DVA, probes and shovels.
Basic knowledge of snow types
How to read an avalanche warning bulletin
How to behave in case of an avalanche
Basic knowledge of avalanche types
There will also be workshops that focus on sounding techniques and roofing techniques. Finally, at the end of the day’s course, there will be a debriefing and a presentation of the certificates of completion that you will have earned.
Since this is a level 1 course, it is designed for people who do not have much mountaineering experience. However, because this course takes place in the Pyrenees mountains of Andorra, all participants should be in good physical condition.
Learning about avalanches and how to respond to them in the event you encounter one is crucial for safe and successful mountaineering. To get started on this level 1 course, all you have to do is send me a request.
After you’ve completed the level 1 course, you can take the level 2 course here.

I have been a mountain guide since 2004. I started out as a mountain leader and now I am a mountain guide.
I love the mountain in general, but what I prefer is climbing. I have traveled to many countries around the world to climb: Morocco, Jordan, United States and Greece.
With customers, I really like mountain skiing, climbing peaks and skiing in good snow!
I hope to share the mountain with you, convey my passion and have fun with your company!
