Stretching throughout central and eastern Europe, Romania lies at the crossroads of diverse cultures. It is bordered by Bulgaria to the south, Moldova to the east, the Black Sea to the southeast, Ukraine to the north, and Hungary to the west. The majority of the mountain range is located within the Romanian region of Transylvania and is still home to much of Romania’s wildlife. Romania’s beautiful scenery is the ideal place to hit the ground running and immerse yourself in nature. The Apuseni mountains stretch across the region of Transylvania, which are part of the Carpathian mountains. We’ll zigzag and move among the mountains on a fantastic network of trails.

The Carpathians and Făgăraș mountains are iconic in Romania, and are exceptionally beautiful. Enjoy outstanding views of Romania’s peaks while running along its trails. And even witness awesome sites along the way like the Ialomita waterfall.

Cultured area

Positioned at the cultural crossroads of east, south and central Europe, Romania has collided and shared many cultural aspects from its neighbors. The region is also the habitat of much wildlife: pelicans swoop the skies, while beavers and bears populate the mountains.

The region receives a comfortable climate in the summer months, although it is also the wettest time of the year. Autumn receives cooler temperatures, yet it’s drier.
