What should I know about Splitboarding Slovakia?
Slovakia is located to the east of central Europe. To the north of the country, lie the famous High Tatras, a top spot for ski adventures. Furthermore, on the Slovak side of the Tatras, there are many mountain huts that make ski touring and multi-day adventures in the mountains all the more inviting and easy in terms of logistics. Furthermore, the landscapes and the untouched slopes in some of the more remote spots, make Slovakia a top splitboarding destination in Europe.

Our day with Eduard was eventfull. In the beginning there were few communication problems but Eduard’s son was very nice and his presence helped because his English was better. Eduard is a good guide but I think the combination of ski touring and avalanche training is a bit too much for people who go on tour for the first time. We had a real adventure and we plan to go on tour again with Eduard in the summer. His enthousiasm for the Tatra is contagious.
