The many limestone peaks of the Picos de Europa make for an amazing place to rock climb. There are over 1,000 climbing routes that vary in difficulty, length and styles. Plus, it tends to be a largely unknown rock climbing spot by people not from Spain. This means you don’t have to share it with hoards of crowds (for now anyway). Situated in the North of Spain in the Asturias region, these peaks are located just 130 km from Santander.

Palan was one of the best guides that I have ever had. He paid extremely close attention to detail while supporting a very friendly and personable environment. He lead us up to the top of Naranjo del Bulnes very efficiently and safely. This trip definitely ranks among the coolest experiences of my life!

We climbed the Espolón rojizo with Pablo in July 2020. Although we have some experience climbing indoors, it was our first time rock climbing. We had a fantastic time with Pablo, he is very knowledgeable in climbing and about the area. He made us feel very safe all along the climb and descent. We will definitely be coming back for some more rock climbing!
