What should I know about Rock Climbing Finland?
Any rock climbing trip to Finland is bound to begins with a flight into the capital, Helsinki. While you’re there, take a day or two to explore this vibrant place. Take in some of the architecture by visiting the houses of parliament before heading to Temppeliaukio Kirkko, an underground church.
Once you’ve had your fill of the capital, it is time to head out for some rock climbing. One of the country’s top spots, Kakarsberget, is only 30 minutes away by car. Here you’ll feel far away from civilization and get to enjoy 15-meter cracks, faces, chimneys and probably the biggest flake in the country.
Heading farther north yields even more rock climbing as well. Head to Lappi Crag farther north for some more beautiful scenery complemented by excellent bouldering and scrambling too.
