Catamarca is home to 5 of the 10 highest peaks in America. Like the Ojos del Salado 6.893m, the highest volcano in the world and the second highest peak in the Andes, after Aconcagua. Here you will find the highest volcanic field in the world with more than 19 peaks over 6000m. It is considered the perfect training ground for other great expeditions to the Himalayas.
