Lorenz

I was born and raised in the valley of Grindelwald, in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. To this day I live in this region and I am working as a full-time Mountain Guide since 2005, when I got my IFMGA/UIAGM certification.

In my spare time I love traveling. Throughout the last twenty years I was privileged to visit many countries over four continents and I got to learn a lot about different cultures. My greatest passion is nature in all its diversity. A life in nature is what gives me strength and helps me find balance. That’s why activities like climbing, bouldering, telemark skiing and surfing are central parts of my life.

‘As climbers we often walk on a knife's edge and move off the beaten tracks. This way, we sharpen our intuition and get a sense of a precarious, heightened perception, through that perception we learn to act responsibly. In nature, I find both peace and deep inspiration for life’.
