Mountain Leader-

I'm a free skier and climber. I grew up in Kiruna, the very north of Sweden where Alpine skiing, racing and Gymnastics dominated my childhood. With skis on I learned to appreciate the mountains early and the curiosity for steeps lead me to try out climbing.
In 2000, I left the Arctic regions to study at the music high school Rytmus in Stockholm. Besides singing and playing music, I developed a passion and talent for climbing. Soon I became one of the first Swedish women to accomplish outdoor sports climbing 8a’s (5.13b) and was successful in competitions. As a junior by winning the Swedish nationals and later as a senior, I became a Nordic Champion.
Shifting focus from sports climbing in 2007, I started to explore trad-, ice- and mixed climbing in the high alpine mountain terrain. I moved to Norway and re-introduced skiing in my practise, although this time not as a racer but with a free ride and ski mountaineering purpose.
With a repertory of first ski descents in Norway to skiing some of the most legendary mountain descents in the Alps, ice climbing of grade WI6 and big wall climbing ascents in the US and the Alps, I have the last couple of years evolved to be a skilled all-around mountain athlete.
My great passion is signified by adventurous free skiing, often combined with a touch of alpine climbing to get in position for the descent.
I live in the north of Norway, Tromsø with the beautiful Lyngen Alps just around the corner, and spend a lot of time in the Alps and Chamonix through out the year. Despite having graduated university with a degree in Economics and previous years of Graphic design studies, my passion for mountains keeps on giving the direction.
In 2010 I certified as a UIAA Climbing instructor and later a ski instructor through the Norwegian Ski Federation. I'm currently enrolled in the UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide program and I work towards becoming an International certified Mountain guide. I offer customised instruction and guiding, works as freelance writer, speaker and athlete for my sponsors.
