Located in the Pennine Alps, between Saas-Fee and Randa, Dom (4545m) is the third highest mountain in the Alps. Although not difficult at a technical level, its ascent requires an excellent fitness level and stamina. The normal route, which starts at the village of Randa, demands 3100m of vertical gain — the largest in the Alps. The climb is generally done in 2 days, spending the night at the Dom hut (2940m) and starting quite early on the second day. Choose from our selection of trips below and take on one of the most physically demanding ascents in the Alps. Explore-Share.com only promotes mountain trips led by certified guides.
