The highest peak in the Tatras mountain range, the official name of Gerlach Peak isĀ GerlachovskĆ½ Å”tĆt (2654m). Technically, it is graded II or III, which makes it a great ascent for beginner mountaineers, specially considering that the normal route is usual snow-free by the beginning of the summer. However, Gerlach can also be climbed during the winter, though the ascent is considerably more challenging. Select your trip from our selection below. Great experience!

Very nice climb of Gerlach with guide Robert Vrlak in early November. Convenient arrangement for this 1-day climb with Robert picking up at the local hotel and a short drive to the trailhead. Beautiful scenery and a fairly straightforward route with mostly trekking and scrambling but full winter conditions at higher elevations made this climb extra fun and a little more challenging than expected. Would greatly recommend it!
