Climbing Jengish Chokusu (Victory Peak): Top Outdoor Adventures Awaiting You

Jengish Chokusu, also known as Victory Peak, is a mountain located in the Tian Shan mountain range. Rising to 7,439 meters above sea level, it is the highest peak of Tian Shan, and stretches along the border between Kyrgyzstan and China. Victory Peak has a collection of summits along its long ridge which makes climbing here fantastic given its diversity.

Beauty on the Silk Road

The pristine and peaceful territory of Kyrgyzstan is dotted along the ancient Silk Road. Impressive open valleys home to grazing wild horses, glacial rivers that carve through the mountains, ink-black night skies lit only by the stars, and sweeping views of the peaks that fill the background. Kyrgyzstan is home to around 88 major mountain ranges, with most of them forming the formidable Tian Shan. Most of the ranges vary between 100km and 300km in length, and 10km to 40km in width. The Tian Shan comprises 40 peaks over 6,000 meters, with the highest, Victory Peak, stretching to 7,439 meters. Frozen behind the Iron Curtain until 1991, as well as the international tourism industry only just starting to take notice of Kyrgyzstan, the Western world is a relative stranger to the breathtaking scenery of the mountainous country.
