Piz Palü is a beautiful large glaciated mountain in the Bernina Range, between Switzerland and Italy. It has three different summits; the highest of the three lies at 3900 metres high, in the Swiss Canton of Graubünden. Climbing Piz Palü together with Piz Bernina (4049 m), the highest peak in the range, is a very popular climbing traverse in the Alps, that usually takes about 3 days. You can pick the programme that best suits you and enjoy a great mountaineering experience in the Alps! Explore-Share only promotes trips led by certified guides.

Renzo is a considerate, skilful guide and a good companion. Highly recommended. Under the conditions we climbed in (i.e. warm and cloudy) the route is less highly rated. The track through the "Eck" was much more demanding than Goedecke suggests in his book "4000er" and I would only attempt it again earlier in the year. Renzo took loads of photos so that was good. Grazie Mille!
