Climbing Monte Viso: Top Outdoor Adventures Awaiting You

The journey to the summit of Monte Viso is not an overly difficult climb. You don’t need previous experience but you will need to have a high level of fitness. This climb is done over two days and you stay overnight in the Quintino Sella Hut. There are a few different routes you can follow.  The main two are the Main Route that goes up the south face and the East Route. The East Route is slightly more difficult. 

Beautiful flora and fauna

As you climb to the summit of this mountain, you’ll be able to take in the spectacular views of wild flowers and catch a sighting of the local wildlife like marmots.

** Mighty Italian Alps **

Monte Visto is a great starting point for other kinds of climbs you can do in the Italian Alps and beyond. Nearby Argentera (3297 m) is another great option as are the other mountains of the Cottian Alps.

**Satisfying summit **

This is a high climb at 3,841 m but not technically difficult. You’ll get the satisfaction of climbing a tall peak in the Alps, without needing endless mountaineering experience.

During the summer while the weather is warm in the area, it can still be freezing up higher on Monte Viso.
