Located in between California and Washington, Oregon is a diverse state and an incredible option of all kinds of outdoor enthusiasts, especially hikers.
Outside of Portland and Mount Hood, both of which provide great day-long trip options, there is a whole lot to see throughout the state.
Alfred A Loeb State Park in the very southwest corner of the state boasts incredible hiking trails through redwood groves. These trees are simply an incredible sight and should not be missed. They can reach heights of more than 100 meters, have a diameter of nine meters and reach 1,000 years of age.
For coast lovers, heading to Ecola State Park for a hike is a great way to see the iconic sea stacks off of Oregon’s coast and get great views out over the Pacific Ocean.
For those looking to experience a different kind of Oregon hiking experience, head just south of the center of the state and see Crater Lake National Park. Sitting in the shadow of Mt Scott, the caldera is all that remains of Mount Mazama and offers plenty of incredible hiking opportunities around its basin as well as in the surrounding mountains.
