What should I know about Hiking Table Mountain?
You can take a cable car to the top of the mountain but we think the best way to get there is to hike. The Platteklip Gorge trail will take you to the top. This is a steep route that will take a few hours. Beginners can do this hike but it’s best to go with an experienced guide. The Skeleton Gorge trail will also take you to the top via the back of the mountain. The scenery along the way here is spectacular. If you’d prefer to explore the landscape around the mountain but not climb it then the Pipe Track is for you.
