What should I know about Hiking Tohoku?
The city of Sendai (population 1,045,000) is a good place to fly in to and then head onwards to the hiking destinations.
Some of the hiking can be slightly challenging, so being relatively fit and in decent shape before arriving will maximise enjoyment of the activity.
