Zugspitze can be found on the border of Germany and Austria and sitting at 2,962 meters, it’s the tallest mountain in Germany. The Alps are the parent range of Zugspitze, and there are a large number of interesting hiking routes to be explored there.

What should I know about Hiking Zugspitze?
A great way to take in the beautiful landscape and enjoy different hikes is to plan a multi-day trip. A hike from the Zugspitze resort of Garmisch to Meran in Italy would take around seven days. There are traditional mountains huts along the way to stay in and this adds to the alpine experience. There are also other great hikes closer to Garmisch so a shorter hiking experience is possible too.

Explore-Share took advantage of my inexperience. I had asked for a beginner level trip, instead, they recommended me a rather advanced trip. Neither Explore-Share nor the guide were forthcoming with information until the very last moment. The guide sold my participation to another outfit about a week before the trip. Neither Explore-Share neither the guide are trustworthy and can be relied upon in making arrangements.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
