Descripción
Únete a mí para un día emocionante en las Dolomitas y descubre Val Setus, uno de los itinerarios de freeride / esquí de travesía más atractivos y populares de la cordillera.
Ubicadas en el noreste de Italia, las Dolomitas son una hermosa cordillera que fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 2009. Son un destino popular durante todo el año, y durante los meses de invierno son una gran opción cuando se trata de esquiar. En particular, te invito a la zona del grupo Sella.
Comenzaremos tomando el teleférico Sass Pordoi. Desde allí, esquiaremos hasta el Paso Pordoi. Seguidamente, una caminata de dos horas con pieles cruzando el refugio Boè en la meseta de Sella. La caminata es fácil y placentera, disfrutando de vistas espectaculares. En particular, ¡el panorama desde el refugio Boè es impresionante! Después de una amplia ladera, accederemos a un estrecho barranco que se va ensanchando hasta llegar al Passo Gardena. Finalmente, con los ascensores de Sella Ronda volveremos al punto de partida.
Gracias a la exposición norte, es muy común encontrar nieve polvo en este itinerario. ¡Ideal para un día de esquí freeride! En general, las condiciones de nieve son mejores desde mediados de enero hasta el final de la temporada de esquí.
Este programa está diseñado para esquiadores con buena técnica fuera de pista y de esquí de travesía que desean vivir una nueva aventura, esquiando en el terreno inspirador de las altas montañas. Las Dolomitas ofrecen el lugar de juego perfecto para esta emocionante experiencia.

Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo and Davide.
If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.
I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.
Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.
My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Bernard was not able to guide us but arranged for a capable and friendly replacement Names Paolo. Snow conditions directed that off piste skiing that we hoped to do would not be safe or enjoyable. Paolo therefor helped us get to and see off the main routes part of the southern Dolomites and ski the Marmolata glacier (which is lift serviced). He was very patient and safety conscious in guiding us down the glacier a total white out. We enjoyed his company although we were a bit challenged in communications due to his at times limited English and the weather conditions.

Patrick was an excellent host. He was in touch beforehand to check our competence levels and discuss itineraries. He checked out the conditions on the options and made an excellent plan. The two descents we made were amazing given the difficult conditions. Highly recommended. Not the sorts of places you want to go without a local expert. Couloir di San Anton and Val de Mesdi. One hell of a day!!
