Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo and Davide.
If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.
I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.
Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.
My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).
Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

Since Renato could not confirm our trip, his son Etienne (who is also a mountain guide) did a perfect job guiding us firstly on Via Ferratas and going all the way up to a pure rock climbing on the last day. We have gained exactly what we've wanted from this trip and thanks to Etienne - even more! Etienne showed himself as a professional guide, who truly knows the mountain, who is able to quickly evaluate his client's capabilities and suggest appropriate routes in order to enhance the excitement, and who is willing to share his experience and knowledge to increase your degree of immersion!

My family had a great time with our Via Ferrata trip! We all loved our guide, Renato!! He really made all the difference in making our experience from good to great! He was very mindful and goes out of his way with ensuring that our family has an enjoyable and safe experience. He chose the right degree of difficulty for our trip. We enjoyed hearing about all his tips, stories, future trip recommendations. He took a lot of pictures of our family at great scenic spots. He even treated us to cappucinno drinks along the way. We enjoyed being together with him so much, we shared beverage, snack and stories with him after the activity was over. We will definitely seek him as our guide again next time and will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Our first via ferrata experience for our group of four was wonderful! Renato was great in communicating/coordinating with us. He adapted well to the different skill/fitness levels of those in our group. He even took pictures of us throughout the trip. We later found out it was his birthday! What a great way to celebrate a birthday by sharing in what he loves to do. Would highly recommend for beginners.
