La Haute Route de Chamonix a Zermatt es tan famosa que debes vivirla al menos una vez para ver por qué a la gente le gusta tanto. Créeme, es un viaje extremadamente hermoso, muy satisfactorio también.
Recorremos la región francesa de Suiza y el Valais suizo. Será una oportunidad para visitar muchas grandes cadenas montañosas en el área. No solo el Mont Blanc, Grand Combin y Droites, sino también el Matterhorn y Dent d’Herens. Durante estos 5 días avanzaremos de un lugar hermoso a otro aún más sorprendente.
Necesitas estar en buena forma física, así como tener buena experiencia en esquí de travesía.

Itinerario
Día 1: Cabane de Trient
Desde Argentière, tomamos el ascensor hasta el paso de Grands Montets (3230 m). Luego esquiamos por el glaciar de Argentière. Después subimos al paso de Chardonnay (3323 m), y hacemos un corto y empinado descenso del lado opuesto. Luego esquiamos hacia la Fenetre de Saleina, y descendemos a la Cabane de Trient (3170 m), donde pasamos la noche. D +1000/-1100m Duración: 6-7hs
Día 2: Refugio de Prafleuri
Comenzamos con un increíble descenso en el valle de Arpette, bajando a Champex. Desde allí tomamos un taxi a Verbier. Un ascensor nos eleva hasta el paso de Gentianes, luego ascendemos el pico Rosablanche (3330 m) a través del paso de Chaux y el paso de Moimin. Esquiamos por el glaciar de Prafleuri hasta el refugio con el mismo nombre. D +1000/-2600m Duración: 7-8hs + 40 min de taxi
Día 3: Cabane de Dix
Subimos al paso de Roux (2804 m), desde allí un larguísimo travesía junto al lago Dix. Luego subimos el Pas de Chat hasta la Cabane de Dix (2970 m). D +850/-400m Duración: 5-6hs
Día 4: Cabane des Vignettes
Un corto descenso y luego una hermosa ascensión al pico Pigne d’Arolla (3800 m). Este lugar nos ofrece vistas increíbles de todos los picos de 4000 m en Valais. Luego descendemos por el lado opuesto hasta la Cabane des Vignettes. D +1050/-700m Duración: 6hs
Día 5: Último día espectacular
El último, el más largo y espectacular día de la excursión. Esquiamos a través de muchos pasos: Collon, Mont Brûlé, Valpelline. También vamos al pico Tete de Valpelline (3800 m), desde donde sigue un largo descenso bajo la pared norte del Matterhorn y Dent d’Herens. El punto final es Zermatt. D +1330/-2950m Duración: 8-9hs

Tamaño del grupo: de 4 a 6 personas.
Me ocuparé de la logística y las reservas en los refugios de montaña. Si necesitas equipo técnico (arnés, crampones, piolet, señal de avalancha) puedes alquilarlo conmigo.
Equipo técnico: equipo de alta montaña, equipo completo de esquí de travesía (esquís con fijaciones adecuadas para esquí de travesía, pieles, cuchillas), bastones, botas de esquí de montaña, transceptor de avalancha (con baterías extra), pala, sonda, arnés, crampones, 1 mosquetón con seguro, guantes gruesos o manoplas, gorro, gafas de sol, gafas de esquí, crema solar, luz frontal. Puedo proporcionar el equipo de seguridad faltante.

Guía de Montaña
Strange to say, I began my climbing career after I left behind my valley and my own mountains.
When I finished high school I moved to Turin, in order to get a mechanical engineer degree.
There I started to climb on a little indoor wall at the University Sport Centre and, very soon, I found myself dreaming on the greatest alps walls. I lived adventures made of fun, fatigue and satisfaction, I shared them with many friends who became climbing partners as well.
In Turin I got my degree and I worked for some years as a mechanical engineer consultant but, more than that, I discovered a new way to live and look at the mountains: sometimes they became playgrounds with attractions for everyone, sometimes a shelter, where to find myself again.
Meanwhile, an idea started to grow inside me and became a dream; a dream I would never give up: working in an office as big as the alps!
Making the long story short, I applied for the mountain guide training, had a huge professional development and became a UIAGM mountain guide.
Now I’m working full-time as a mountain guide, sharing my passion with a lot of different people on the Alps, since I'm based in the Monte Rosa area, but also around the world.

Paolo was truly an excellent guide. Phenomenal knowledge of the backcountry, excellent pacing on the climbs and downhills. Paolo was able to find some good snow in a year where there has not been much snow.
I just wanted to thank you very much for all the help in the difficult snow conditions. The primary aim of teaching Digby and reminding me of avalanche protocols and about skinning have been fully achieved. You made it all fund, clear and precise. Too bad we had poor conditions, but we still found some reasonable snow and mashed an awesome couloir, so we did really well considering. So thank you very much and only sorry that we could not make full use of you for the full five days.

Our Guide Massimo was very professional. We were heading to the Margharita hut at 4,559 meters but unfortunately one of us got mountain sickness at 4,100 at Piramide Vincent. Furthermore the weather was getting worse...lots of wind and snow starting. Our guide was very firm and 'advised' to go back to the Mantova hut. We were extremely lucky because a few hours later the storm was very bad and as people may have heart, 2 Italian ladies died at Primade Vincent from the cold . So Massimo thanks for your perseverance!
