Bansko is a mountain town and ski resort located 160 km away from the Bulgarian capital of Sofia. At the foot of Mount Pirin and within the boundaries of Pirin National Park, the ski resort is famous for its amazing backcountry terrain and snow conditions. A lot less popular than any ski resort in the Alps, you’ll probably get Bansko’s freeride terrain all to yourself. Select one of our options below and have a mountain guide show you around the steep forests and open bowls of Bansko’s backcountry. Explore-Share.com only promotes mountain trips led by certified guides.

Nikolay is an experienced and very helpful guide. He provided us with 3 very good days of varied skiing and touring in sometimes difficult weather conditions. Nikolay assessed our aspirations and our abilities and provided the perfect combination of skiing and touring experience for us in conditions which were sometimes challenging. In addition to his very good service on the snow, he sorted out the perfect accommodation for our needs and very efficiently sorted out our airport transfers. He is very good company and his love of the mountains is infectious. I strongly recommend him.
